St. Martin's Day
Lanterns, processions, and St. Martin on his horse ready to color
St. Martin's Day Lantern Coloring Pages for Kids
This page features a collection of free printable St. Martin's Day coloring pages made for parents, teachers, and caregivers to use with children. From handmade paper lanterns and evening lantern processions to St. Martin on his horse and a sweet Weckmann bread man, these pages celebrate Martinstag, the November 11th lantern festival loved by children across Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and beyond.
St. Martin's Day coloring pages help children learn the legend of St. Martin, the Roman soldier who cut his cloak in two to share it with a freezing beggar. While coloring, kids can talk about kindness, sharing, and bringing light into dark autumn evenings, just like the lanterns they carry. These pages are especially popular with children aged three to ten and pair well with kindergarten lantern crafts, lantern songs, and lessons about European traditions.
All pages are designed for easy printing on standard paper. Simple designs like a single paper lantern or a goose are perfect for younger children, while detailed scenes like the lantern procession or the sharing of the cloak provide a rewarding challenge for older kids.
Ways to use St. Martin's Day coloring pages:

- Calm, focused play on dark autumn evenings in early November
